Our Mission
Local businesses are the backbone of our communities, but many of them are difficult to discover. A family farm may sit just a mile off your daily commute. A cottage baker may only sell by word of mouth. A roadside flower stand may have no website at all. Meanwhile, national chains spend millions making sure they're the businesses you see first.
momNpop.us exists to help change that.
Our mission is to give small, locally owned businesses the same opportunity to be discovered as larger companies while making it easier for people to shop locally without going out of their way.
We believe supporting local shouldn't require a special trip. If fresh eggs, produce, flowers, baked goods, maple syrup, pottery, honey, or handmade products are already along your route home from work or on your weekend drive, you should know where they are.
That's why we built a map that treats every business fairly. Listings aren't ranked by advertising budgets or corporate influence. Instead, businesses are displayed so customers can easily discover what's nearby or directly along the routes they already travel.

Visibility is only part of the challenge.
Many small businesses can't justify spending thousands of dollars on a professional website, online store, or content management system. As a result, they often appear less established than larger competitors—even when their products are exceptional.
That's why qualifying local producers can receive a professionally designed website free for their first year, with transparent pricing afterward. Whether it's a simple informational website or a feature-rich online store with photo galleries, contact forms, custom applications, databases, or inventory management, our goal is to provide enterprise-quality websites at prices that small businesses can actually afford.

Helping Customers Shop Local
For customers, momNpop.us is completely free.
Our unique route-based search allows you to discover businesses that are already along your commute or planned drive, making it practical to choose local over corporate stores. Whether you're searching for fresh vegetables, flowers, farm-raised meat, local honey, baked goods, handmade pottery, or hundreds of other products, we're working to make finding them simple.
Investing Back Into the Community
Supporting local businesses goes beyond technology.
We're committed to strengthening local economies by sponsoring farmers markets, promoting community events, and helping new markets grow into destinations where shoppers can discover local producers. Every new customer who shops locally helps keep more money circulating within the community and supports the families who live there.

Our Vision
We envision a future where shopping locally is the easiest choice, not the hardest one.
Where every roadside stand, family farm, cottage baker, artisan, nursery, and independent maker has the opportunity to be discovered.
Where customers know what's available around them before they head to a national chain.
And where communities become stronger because more dollars stay local.
That's the future we're building — one business, one customer, and one community at a time.
